You quickly jump up, eager to get someone to help you survive this crisis. The man with the gun quickly points it at you.

"NO WAIT!" You yell, ducking back down. "I just want some help!"

The man lowers the gun, "Sorry, I thought you were one of those things."

You climb out of the dumpster and walk over to the group of people. "Thank you for not shooting me, is it alright if I come along with you? Anything is better than just sitting here."

"Sure, but you need some sort of weapon." The gun toting man agrees to let you come.

"I have a taser." You say pulling out your small weapon from your purse.

"I guess that will have to do, alright lets get going. There aren't too many left wandering around and I don't know how long that will last." The gun carrying leader says.

"By the way, I'm Rie." You say out of politeness.

"I'm John. That man is Nick, he's Chris, and she's Julie." The gun carrying man introduces you to everyone. "I'd love to continue chatting, but we gotta move fast."

The group you just joined up with proceeds down the alleyway and stops at the side of the building to peer into the street. There are only a few lingering maniacs out there, but they're not close to your position.

You hear the noise of an engine in the distance, you spot a bus filled with people driving down the street.

"A bus! That could be our ticket out of here!" Chris exclaims.

"Yeah, but will it even stop for us?" John asks.

"I say we go for it." Julie speaks up in agreement with Chris.

"If it doesn't stop, then we'll just expose ourselves to those things out there. I'd rather stay here." Nick says in protest.

"Alright Rie, you're the deciding vote, do we try to get on the bus?" John asks you.

You reply...

"Alright, lets try it then." John says running into the street to stop the bus.

The bus screeches to a halt and the doors open. You all quickly squeeze into it and the bus takes off, leaving those things behind in it's dust.

"Phew, we made it. Now we can get somewhere." Julie said in a sigh of relief.

Your small group inches it's way past people so you aren't standing next to the door. You all feel relieved that you made it onto the bus.

"So what now?" You ask.

"We saw a news report saying that a safe shelter has been set up in the direction this bus is headed. It's only 32 or so kilometers from here so it won't take too long since we're on this bus." Chris replied.

You finally let the tension go and feel safe. You shut your eyes and think to yourself, 'Only 32 kilometers? That'll only take around 20 minutes to reach safety.'

When you open your eyes you notice a man sitting in a seat a little ways back. You struggle to see past the people in your way, but it looks like he's bleeding. The man begins to cough violently and the passenger next to him asks if he's okay.

Suddenly the man turns to the other passenger and bites his neck! He rips a chunk of flesh out of the man and turns to the others. He starts mercilessly attacking everyone. He's biting, scratching, punching everything in sight. People are falling dead one by one. Thinking quickly you take out your taser and plunge it into the man's face. You use it to send a strong electric charge throughout his body. He slumps down dead.

"My God..." Chris says in astonishment of the scene. "Nice job Rie, he was about to kill everyone." He says with a smile.

"Thanks, I just saw him attacking people and wanted to sto-GEHK!" You feel a sharp pain piercing your back. You look down and see a hand coming out of your abdomen with blood gushing from it.

You turn to see that the passenger the man just attacked is the one to impaled you. The changed passenger lunges on top of you and violently rips at your flesh, tearing you apart. The last things you see are filtered in red as your vision fades. Your new friends are getting torn apart by the passengers who just died, and the man you thought you had killed is getting back up.

Dead End.

You decide that you can't just trust these people, who knows if they'll help you or not? You wait in your hiding spot until they leave. You exit the dumpster carefully checking to make sure none of those crazy bastards are around to attack you.

You open the door to the building that small group of people just exited from. You figure if they got out of there then there must not be anything to attack you.

The second you enter the building the pungent smell of blood hits your nose. You cover your mouth and see a dead body to the right of the staircase. You slowly ascend the stairs keeping a watchful eye out for any possible threats. You get to a door and open it. It was a lounge room for this office, it seems ideal to stay here. There's coffee, food, and a television to keep you informed.

You enter the room, but notice a small girl in the corner. She's sitting with her head in her arms and shivering.

You quietly leave the room so you don't get the attention of the girl. You go back to the stairs and go up another flight of stairs. You go through a door and start looking through several rooms down this hallway.

The first few rooms you searched had nothing of interest in them, but in the fourth room you find a handgun in a desk of this office. You pocket the weapon and continue the search for a safer place to hide.

The door swings open and a man rushes you inside. He quickly slams the door and locks it again.

"Thank you so much, I was afraid I'd be left alone." You thank the man for letting you hide.

"Yeah, no problem. Luckily that thing wasn't out there or you would have been outta luck." The man replies.

The room you've taken refuge in is occupied by at least 15 other people from the office building. This is a lounge room similar to the one you found earlier, but larger and with more supplies.

"OH CRAP!" The man that just closed the door yells in shock. "QUICK BARRICADE THE DOOR, NOW!!"

The group starts shoving a filing cabinet towards the door. Then they grab the table and put that against the filing cabinet.

"Wha-what's out there?" You ask.

"I have no clue what the Hell it is, but it's not something we want to get to us."

You start hearing bangs and scratching noises against the door. A primal roar sounds out as whatever it is bashes the door with all its might. You hear splintering noises coming from the door, it's cracking. You pull out your gun in anticipation of the thing breaking through.

"We need to get out of here, it's coming!" A woman screams in terror.

"There's nowhere to go to, we're trapped in here!"

The door finally gives way and the barricades are thrown aside. In the doorway is a large dog-like creature with a hulking mass. You immediately fire at it. You unload your whole clip into it, but it appears to do nothing. It lunges at you, but you dive under it. You run out of the room quickly, hearing the screams of the others behind you.

You quickly duck under a desk. You hear another person running and peek to see. One of the men that was hiding in the room runs back trying to outrun the creature. The beast leaps at him and crashes through the window to the outside with the man in its jaws.

You slowly come out and go back to the lounge room. You're horrified at the bloody sight before you. The others were torn up and are all dead. There are limbs lying on the floor dismembered from their bodies. You slowly back away in disgust when one of the dead people stands up. His eyes are milky white and he's snarling like a beast.

The man sprints towards you and tackles you to the ground. You hold him off with al your might trying to keep him from biting you. you throw him off of you and stumble to your feet. You start to run, but one of the others crawled out of the doorway while you were down and she grabs your leg.

You kick at her face as she claws at you and before you know it the man has jumped back on top of you. You feel a stinging pain in your leg as the woman bites your angle.

Your strength lapses from the pain and the man sinks his teeth into your neck. Your scream gargles as blood begins to spray into your esophagus. Your visions fades to black and you lose consciousness...forever.

Dead End.
