world domination >: )
Suppose to be finishing my tok essay... but IB teaches you how to master procrastination so I'm here.
Time for some rant, maybe i'll get some inspirations for that damn essay...
--disclaimer: for those toddlers who's not suppose to see vulgar langauge used... you shouldn't be here anyway----
I'm from China, consider myself Chinese, and I love China. If you got a problem with China, then fuck you.
I really get pissed and annoyed when people bitch about China on things like Tibet, human rights, military expansion, falun gong... pretty much anything that's hypocritical. Having lived in China for 9 years of my life, I have no idea what people are bitching about all the time. Sure, the air could be better, and there could be more trees, and maybe people can be nicer to each other, but overal it's a pretty good place. I would go back if i could just for the food.
I just hate it when idiots blame it on the government for anything that happens, espcially when they go a step further and say it would be better if China turned democratic. Two words: SCREW OFF. Democracy comes with its own set of problems, and China has pretty much just settled down after a shitload of turmoil. Going from getting gangbanged by 8 countries, fighting crack and opium dealers, and of course the sino-jap war and then the civil war. To think, getting from being picked on by everyone to getting feared/respected by everyone in about 50 years is a pretty danm impressive accomplishment. Show me a case where democracy yielded such exponential growth in a timespan of 50 years. I'm not saying democracy sucks, even though it does; i'm saying if it works for you, great - but don't force it on others when it's not going to fucken work.
Getting that out of the way, I love politics and debating, planning to be a lawyer someday and then get into politics, and then rule the world. and in case you haven't realized by now, I'm a communist, a godless communist. That being said, i also love to discuss about science, espcially if it's religion vs. science. I'm also pretty keen on the economy and history, I find them to be fairly good discussion topics that can go on for quite a while if you get people who knows what they're talking about.
Music: Pretty much anything that has a decent melody.
Movie: anything except horror and cheesy romance
Food: ... too lazy to list all of them
Tv show: House, The Big Bang Theory (best show ever), Avatar the Last Airbender
Likes/Hobbies: debate, argue, internet, tennis, ping pong, biking, nordic skiing, video games
and oh, since I'm in IB, I pretty much mastered the bullshitting technique - which means I can also see through lies pretty easily, espcially if I know the culprit well.
Without futhur ado, flame on

browntown = brampton, ontario - right by toronto
Actor? ... uh, haven't watched chinese drama since I came here. although the one i liked back then was the protagonist called "little swallow", xiao yan zi. dunno her real name though, and i guess that would be classified as actress.
and just because you're brazilian doesn't mean I can't beat you in soccer, and besides it was you who said i can beat you =_=

Re: world domination >: )
.. You seem like a very angry person. ^^;
Myself, I loved China. Went there when I was 12 with People to People. The only problems I had were whenever we passed by a sewer... I would literally gag...
Still, best f*cking calamari in the world.
I appreciate Communism and its overall attempt at bringing fair life to the masses, but it gets corrupted too easily- it needs a bit more regulation in place, imo.
By the way, I do love China, but it isn't so much feared as it is lording over everyone indebted to it. Like us. By a lot. (Was it $10 trillion or 5?)
But that's consumers, not government type- Democracy works great... otherwise, how would we have managed to detach ourselves from British rule, when they were about 100 times our strength? The next 50 years, of course, being the years in which we made ourselves into a worldwide superpower...
Well, you did ask for an example.
I'm actually more of a socialist-democratic than I am a Communist, but my friends still often call me a Communist because of my ideals. XP
So now for the question... if you couldn't live in a Communist nation, which government type would you choose?
[EDIT: By teh way, House, Avatar, arguing, debating, and tennis kick ass.

Re: world domination >: )
haha. i'll agree with you on some points and disagree with you on other points.
Am I an angry person? Generally no, but I do get pretty fired up on these topics. I'll agree with you that communism is prone to corruption. But wait, is there a system which is immune or resistant to it? Personally I don't think one exist. After all, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Every government has corruption, it's just that some are more corrupt than others. and just fyi, I did a philosophy presentation on why democracy isn't all that great, but I'm not exactly a fan of doing a presentation on a forum.
But, just to quickly rebutt your point on the seperation from British rule; well, the brits had quite a few colonies. so much so that it was said, "the sun never sets on the british empire". What happened? Democracy? Please... In this world, you can't do anything without power, and holding onto your existing colonies requires a substantial amount of power - to suppress uprisings etc. After the WWI, the brits lost huge amounts of resource and power, since WWI became a war of attrition. After WW2, and all those bombings, brits practically lost everything; but just to make them seem like the winners, they set those countries "free". Oh yeah, they still held onto Hong Kong until 1997. Even though diplomatic talks were taking in place, the brits were asking too much, and the deal was about to be called off. So China basically gave them two options: 1. Hand it back peacefully and you can have some bargaining points; or 2. We'll take it back by force. Power speak louder than words.
and oh, I still don't know which country you are referring to in your example. If you're saying America, then no. U.S. took longer than 50 years. If you're saying Canada... still no. I would never my country a "superpower" - espcially considering we didn't start off from scratch, like China had to. FYI China is part of the United Nations Security Council permenate member, having the power to veto anything. Canada's not on the Security Council at all...
And If I couldn't live in a communist country (not like i am now anyway), I'd choose a socialist country, like sweden.
and lol, good to see we share some similar interests.

I HATE YOU CHINESE PEOPLE AND YOUR CHINESE FOOD AND YOUR CHINESE DRAMAS AND YOUR CHINESE PRODUCTS!
There, is that what you were expecting? Anyway... I know nothing about China. Zip. Nada. So, can't say anything bad about it. :3
I do know a girl from Tibet is featured in the manga I'm translating, Freezing. *laughs*
Um...you like being with Red Hawk?

asplode? uh... assuming you mean explode a planet, I guess I would choose Uranus, so people wouldn't make that joke anymore XD.
rofl tei, aren't you the joker. and yes, I do like being with Red Hawk, fun people to talk to.
and why do I hate horror games (and movies and anything else)? because I don't like to have nightmares.
